Accessibility Statement

Last updated April 16, 2026

AcuClient is built for clinicians and their clients, and that means accessibility matters. This statement explains the standard we aim for, where we are today, and how to request help or flag a barrier.

Our goal

Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. WCAG is the international standard used by most accessibility legislation — including the Accessible Canada Act, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and Section 508 and Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the United States.

Where we are today

AcuClient is a new product and we are actively improving accessibility as we build. Across the marketing site and the practitioner workspace, we work to support:

  • Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements.
  • Readable text contrast in both light and dark themes.
  • Semantic HTML structure to support screen readers.
  • Labels on form fields and clear error messages.
  • Focus states that remain visible.
  • Respect for reduced-motion preferences.

We have not yet completed a formal third-party audit. We are being direct about that rather than claiming a conformance level we have not independently verified. An audit is on our roadmap; when it is complete, its findings and our remediation plan will be summarized here.

Known limitations

Some complex interactive components — such as certain charts, the rich-text editor, and scheduling grids — may not be fully usable with every assistive technology. If you encounter a barrier, we want to know. We will prioritize fixes that unblock real users.

Assistive technology compatibility

AcuClient is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and with screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver. Where we find compatibility gaps, we fix them or document them clearly.

Feedback and requests

If you have trouble using AcuClient, or you would like content in an alternative format, email privacy@effectwellness.com. Please include the page or feature you were using, the assistive technology involved, and what you were trying to accomplish. We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within five business days.
