Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated April 16, 2026

AcuClient is built to support professional wellness practices. This policy sets out what is not allowed on the service. It is part of the Terms of Service; breaching it may result in suspension or termination of your account.

Use the service lawfully

You may not use AcuClient to violate any applicable law, regulation, court order, or professional regulatory requirement in your jurisdiction. That includes laws on health information, consumer protection, consent, taxation, and the practice of regulated professions.

Protect the people you serve

You may not use the service to:

  • Enter client or patient data without the consent required by the law of your jurisdiction and the standards of your profession.
  • Practice outside your scope of licence or training, or misrepresent your credentials to clients.
  • Provide care to individuals in jurisdictions where you are not authorized to do so.
  • Submit false or misleading information in invoices, insurance claims, or regulatory reports.

Protect the service and other users

You may not, and may not permit any other party to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, workspace, system, or data, including by probing or scanning for vulnerabilities (except under an authorization we provide in writing).
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service, including by sending malicious code, excessive automated traffic, or content designed to crash, overload, or degrade performance.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the service, except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by law.
  • Use any automated tool, bot, or scraper to access or collect data from the service, except through APIs and integrations we expressly make available.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties as a white-labelled offering, except under a written agreement with Effect Wellness Inc.

Content you may not upload or send

You may not upload, send, or share content through AcuClient that:

  • Infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights of others.
  • Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory.
  • Contains malware, phishing links, or other harmful code.
  • Promotes illegal activity.
  • Is sent as unsolicited bulk or commercial messaging (“spam”) using the service's messaging features.

AI features

Where AcuClient includes AI-assisted features (for example, Practice Assist), you remain the clinician of record. AI output is a draft aid, not a professional recommendation. You may not rely on AI output as the sole basis for clinical decisions, and you may not represent AI-generated content to clients as reviewed by a human when it has not been.

Reporting misuse

If you believe someone is using AcuClient in violation of this policy, please email privacy@effectwellness.com with as much detail as you can share. Security researchers reporting vulnerabilities in good faith will receive acknowledgement and an opportunity to coordinate disclosure.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations, request information, remove content, or suspend or terminate accounts. We will try to act proportionately and, where practical, give notice and an opportunity to cure. Urgent threats to security, safety, or legal compliance may require immediate action without notice.
