Cookie Policy

Last updated April 16, 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies AcuClient uses, why we use them, and what choices you have. It should be read alongside the Privacy Policy.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. Cookies let the site remember things about your visit — such as that you are signed in — and are also used by some sites for analytics and advertising. We also use comparable technologies such as local storage and session storage; for simplicity, we refer to all of these as “cookies” below.

Cookies we use today

Authentication and session cookies. Required. These keep you signed in after you log in, identify your active practice workspace, and protect against session hijacking. If you disable these, you will not be able to use the authenticated parts of the service. They are set by AcuClient and our authentication provider, Supabase.

Security and abuse-prevention cookies. Required. These help us detect and block malicious activity such as automated sign-in attempts. They are set by AcuClient and our infrastructure providers.

Preference cookies. Optional but helpful. These remember local preferences such as your selected theme (light or dark) so that the UI behaves consistently on your device.

Checkout cookies. Required during checkout. When you start a subscription, Stripe sets cookies on its own domains to process payment and detect fraud. Stripe's cookie practices are governed by its own privacy and cookie policies.

Planned analytics

We plan to add a privacy-respecting analytics tool to help us understand which pages of the marketing site are useful. When we do, we will:

  • Choose a tool that does not require personal identifiers or cross-site tracking (e.g. Plausible or a comparable cookie-less analytics provider).
  • Disclose the specific tool and the categories of data collected in this policy.
  • Offer a way to opt out where the tool provides one, and respect Global Privacy Control signals where applicable.

We do not currently use any advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we have no plans to add them.

Your choices

Most browsers let you review and delete cookies, block cookies from specific sites, or block cookies entirely. Blocking the required cookies listed above will prevent core features from working. You can also clear local and session storage from your browser's developer tools.

If and when we add optional analytics, we will provide a clear control in-product to opt in or out. Until then, there are no optional cookies to decline.

Updates to this policy

We will update this policy when we add, remove, or change the technologies described above. The “last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
